Yamaha FG-580
The Yamaha FG-580 was produced from 1971 to 1978 as part of Yamaha's Hand Crafted range, positioned above the FG-500 and below the FG-1500 and FG-2000 within the FG series lineup. Construction features a solid spruce top, jacaranda back and sides, African mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard, and ebony bridge. Depending on when a particular example was made, it may carry one of several labels: the Red label (1967–1972), Tan label (1972–1975), Black label (1974–1977), or Orange label (1974–1985), all associated with Japanese production. The White oval label (1977–2001) indicates Taiwanese manufacture. No specific players have been documented in association with this model.
