Yamaha FG-461S
The Yamaha FG-461S is a white-oval-label dreadnought built in Taiwan from 1993 to 1999, carrying the white oval label used on Taiwanese Yamaha production from 1977 through 2001. The guitar features a solid spruce top, Indian rosewood back and sides, and a mahogany neck. Owners who have held onto these guitars since their teens describe them as being in relatively good condition decades later, suggesting solid build quality for the price tier. The responsive, clean voice suits flat-picking styles, and the solid top tends to open up with age and play. Sun fading on the top is the most commonly reported cosmetic wear.
