Yamaha FG-460S-12A

The Yamaha FG-460S-12A is the twelve-string version of the FG-460S, a white-oval-label dreadnought built in Taiwan from 1989 to 1995 with a solid spruce top, rosewood back and sides, and a nato neck. The bound neck and gold tuners are the visual giveaways for the upper-tier trim level relative to the standard FG-411 twelve-strings of the same Taiwan era. Taiwan-built FG models of this period carry the white oval label used by Yamaha on that market from 1977 through 2001, making label style a reliable dating tool.
