Yamaha FG-45

The Yamaha FG-45 is a 7/8-scale parlor-style acoustic built in Japan and Taiwan from 1972 to 1974, featuring a spruce top, katsura back and sides, and a nato neck. It has a 21.62-inch scale, twelve frets to the body, no truss rod, and a flat fretboard with no radius. The bridge uses a classical-style through-cut saddle slot, and it shares 3-on-a-strip plastic-button tuners with the FG-75 and FG-110. Examples may carry a Red or Tan label, as both eras overlap its production window. The smaller body produces a boxy voice with limited bass. No players are documented.
