Yamaha FG-430

The Yamaha FG-430 is a dreadnought produced from 1985 to 1989, with a spruce top, toog back and sides, and a nato neck. Guitars built in Japan carry an orange label, while those built in Taiwan carry a white oval label — both label types fall within the production window, making the label a useful dating tool. Owners describe it as a poor man's Martin D-18 with a big, projecting voice, and note tasteful inlays around the soundhole and fret markers that lift it visually above cheaper FGs of the era.
