Yamaha FG-420-12

The Yamaha FG-420-12 is the twelve-string version of the FG-420, produced from 1985 to 1989 with a spruce top, toog back and sides, and a nato neck. Guitars from this model carry either an orange label (Japan) or a white oval label (Taiwan). The transition from Dove to Leaf headstock logo in 1987 gives owners a useful secondary dating reference. The 6+6 chrome tuner configuration makes restringing more straightforward than the slot-head twelves of earlier FG eras.
