Yamaha FG-420
The Yamaha FG-420 is a dreadnought produced from 1985 to 1989, fitted with a spruce top, toog back and sides, and a nato neck. Labels follow two tracks: an orange label for Japan-built examples and a white oval label for Taiwan-built ones. Owners describe deep bass and crystal clear highs, brighter and more bass-forward than the mahogany Yamahas of the era. The 44-millimeter nut and classic vintage Yamaha chrome tuners, combined with the toog wood, set it apart from sister FG models.
