Yamaha FG-402C
The Yamaha FG-402C is a dreadnought acoustic built in Japan between 1983 and 1985, identified by its orange label and a solid Ezo spruce top paired with Ovangkol back and sides and a Nato neck. The Ovangkol gives the low end some thickness while the solid spruce top produces a dry, focused attack that rewards deliberate playing. These turn up occasionally in used markets at modest prices, often in reasonable shape given their age.
