Yamaha FG-401WB

The Yamaha FG-401WB is a dreadnought acoustic guitar produced by Yamaha between 1978 and 1980. Its label history is useful for dating individual examples: guitars made in Japan carry an orange label, used from 1974 to 1985, while Taiwan-made examples bear a white oval label, associated with the period 1977 to 2001. Construction features a spruce top with Ezo designation, Indian rosewood back and sides, and a Nato neck. The model is noted for its decorative floral pickguard, described as inspired by the Gibson Hummingbird design, along with an ebony fingerboard and bridge, and an adjustable saddle system. No players have been documented in association with this model.
