Yamaha FG-400A

The Yamaha FG-400A is a white-oval-label dreadnought built in Taiwan from 1989 to 1995, with a spruce top, nato back and sides, and a nato neck. Owners describe strong projection, balanced mids, and clear highs that play easily up and down the neck. Twisted necks are a known issue on neglected examples, but the truss rod and a few days in a humidity-controlled space can pull most of the twist back out. Finish clouding on the back is common.
