Yamaha FG-360
The Yamaha FG-360 is a dreadnought acoustic produced from 1972 to 1974, built in Japan and Taiwan by Nippon Gakki Co. under the Yamaha FG line. Given its two-year production window, examples may carry either a Red label (used 1967–1972 on Japanese and Taiwanese instruments) or a Tan label (1972–1975, Japan and Taiwan), making label inspection a practical first step when dating a specific guitar. The model was not distributed in the United States, which accounts for the relative scarcity of clean examples in the American market. Construction centers on a spruce top, Coral Rosewood back and sides, and an African Mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard. Owners of surviving examples often undertake practical refurbishment work — replacement tuning machines, bone nuts, compensated saddles, and JLD bridge doctors to address top bellying — in preference to the costlier neck resets that older Yamaha FG guitars can eventually require. No players are documented in association with this model.
