Yamaha FG-340II
The Yamaha FG-340II is a dreadnought produced from 1981 to 1985, built in Japan under the orange label (used 1974–1985) or in Taiwan under the white oval label (used 1977–2001). It features a spruce top, mahogany back and sides, and a nato neck. The three-piece back is a clear visual nod to the Martin D-35. Original Yamaha tuners and untouched nuts and saddles are getting harder to find on these, and sourcing replacement tuners that fit correctly is a known challenge for owners.
