Yamaha FG-335II

The Yamaha FG-335II is a dreadnought built from 1981 to 1985, with a spruce top, mahogany back and sides, and a nato neck. Japanese-made examples carry the orange label (used 1974–1985), while Taiwan-made examples carry the white oval label (used 1977–2001). Owners report these mature well past their original beginner-tier price class, with first-three-fret divots being the typical visible wear pattern. The heel joint stays solid where some other late orange labels developed problems.
