Yamaha FG-301B
The Yamaha FG-301B is an orange label dreadnought built at Nippon Gakki in Japan from 1978 to 1980. Guitars carrying an orange label were produced in Japan and fall within that label era's run of 1974 to 1985. The model features an Ezo spruce top, Indian rosewood back and sides, and a nato neck, with a rosewood fingerboard and bridge completing the appointment. Its dreadnought body delivers strong projection and a lively, responsive sound that works equally well for strumming or fingerstyle playing. Natural gloss finish was standard, and the 25-inch scale length and 1.70-inch nut width are consistent across documented examples. Original Yamaha hard cases are an increasingly rare inclusion on surviving instruments.
