Yamaha FG-280-1

The Yamaha FG-280-1 is a dreadnought acoustic produced from 1974 to 1977, identifiable by the "-1" suffix appended to its model number on a small-font black rectangular label — a detail collectors occasionally overlook. Guitars from this period may carry a tan label (1972–1975), black label (1974–1977), or orange label (1974–1985), depending on production year and origin; Taiwan-made examples from the tail end of production may bear a white oval label. Construction features a spruce top with mahogany back, sides, and neck.
