Yamaha FG-210-1
The Yamaha FG-210-1 is a 12-string acoustic guitar produced from 1974 to 1977, built with a spruce top, Agathis back and sides, and a Nato neck. It emerged as part of Yamaha's third-generation FG lineup, in which several earlier models were revamped and given a "-1" suffix — a detail easy to overlook, as the suffix appears in a noticeably smaller font on the label. Dating an FG-210-1 involves reading its label carefully: tan labels appear on earlier examples (1972–1975, Japan and Taiwan), black labels span 1974–1977 from both countries, orange oval labels indicate Japanese production from 1974–1985, and white oval labels identify Taiwanese manufacture from 1977 onward. The rarer black label reading only "Made in Taiwan" — without "Republic of China" — is occasionally encountered by collectors.
