Yamaha FG-202
The Yamaha FG-202 is an all-laminate dreadnought produced from 1975 to 1978 in Japan and Taiwan, with a spruce top, Queensland walnut back and sides, and a nato neck. Depending on when and where a specific guitar was made, it may carry a tan label (1972–1975), black label (1974–1977), orange label (1974–1985, Japan only), or white oval label (1977–2001, Taiwan only). Tuners on survivors are frequently replaced and the original screw holes left visible, since the original open-gear units wore out quickly. No notable players are documented.
