Yamaha FG-160E-1

The Yamaha FG-160E-1 is a dreadnought acoustic-electric produced from 1974 to 1977, built with a spruce top and mahogany back and sides on a nato neck. The "-1" suffix was appended to many existing FG model numbers around 1975 and appears in a small font on the label, leading some owners to overlook it as part of the designation. Guitars from this run may carry a tan label (1972–1975), black label (1974–1977), or orange label (1974–1985), all indicating Japanese or Taiwanese manufacture depending on the era.
