Yamaha FG-160-1
The Yamaha FG-160-1 is a dreadnought produced from 1974 to 1977, built in Japan and Taiwan with a spruce top, agathis back and sides, and a nato neck. Depending on production year and origin, these guitars may carry a tan label (1972–1975), black label (1974–1977), orange label (1974–1985, Japan only), or white oval label (1977–2001, Taiwan only), making the label one of the most reliable tools for dating a specific example. Survivors often show finger divots in the first few frets from heavy use.
